Having this ensures that our business is able to continue to serve our beloved clients, while maintaining the quality of our service and our team's welfare. While we strive to be accommodating and responsive in our work, we kindly ask that you respect our team and policies. With that:**Caketales reserves the right to limit accommodation or refuse service to clients (1) who have unruly, disrespectful behavior, and/or (2) with repeated instances of disregarding our guides and policies. **
a. We do not provide cake design drafts or progress photos before your pick-up date as our bakers work on multiple cakes, so please double check your cake briefs and specifications! Rest assured that our bakers and artists strive to be very thorough from the cake interview to following your brief and requests made during the interview process. We will always do our best to satisfy our customers’ requests when it comes to designing our custom-made cakes.
b. For confirmed orders, changes to the cake design and flavor made on or after the confirmation deadline will not be accommodated.
c. Cake storage: Our cakes are best served and consumed right away, but they can be stored for three (3) days if chilled properly in a refrigerator.* While it can be stored up to a week, please expect changes in the appearance and quality the longer a cake is stored.
*For fondant based cakes or cakes with fondant elements, only refrigerate after your event as fondant tends to soften due to moisture from refrigeration. Until then, kindly keep them in a cool (ideally air-conditioned), shaded area.
d. Allergy Warning: All of our products are made with shared equipment that may have come in contact with ingredients containing allergens including but not limited to: nuts, dairy, eggs, gluten, etc.
a. As of writing, our only official means of correspondence for updates, inquiries, and ordering are through e-mail or our Instagram messages. Unless stated, calls are neither allowed nor accepted, and contact details provided should be used for their designated purposes only (e.g. online payments, pick-up details, etc.)
b. While we do have a minimum lead time, we recommend ordering ahead, especially for cakes with intricate designs. Discussion of cake briefs can take a while, and unless your order is confirmed, slots for your preferred date can still be filled up and closed by orders confirmed earlier. We also have a designated time for answering messages (9AM-4PM, closed on Mondays and Tuesdays), so please keep that in mind when you plan to order!
c. Orders are only confirmed once (a) both order form and proof of payment have been sent and (b) these have been acknowledged by our staff.
d. Failure to send the order form or payment by the confirmation deadline provided by our staff can lead to automatic order cancellation. Requests for an extension of the deadline would be subject to approval.
e. Cancellation and refund requests for confirmed orders will only be entertained upon investigation and approval by Caketales.
f. As a rule of thumb for refund requests, your confirmation deadline is used as a reference. A no cancellation, no refund policy is followed for requests made on or after the deadline date as at that point, creation of your order would have already started.
g. While we allow sending of design pegs and inspiration photos from other bakers, we do not guarantee an exact replicate, due to possible differences in lighting and materials used, and to respect the rights of the original creator. Caketales reserves the right to refuse certain custom cake requests and orders that do not align with our values and principles.
h. AI-generated images of cake and cake references are discouraged. Caketales reserves the right to not accept these AI-generated images as references for a potential custom order.
a. If, for any reason, your pick-up needs to be rescheduled, please contact us immediately. Rescheduling pick-up dates or times for confirmed orders is subject to approval and not all requests can be approved! We schedule our baking and decorating times based on the initially agreed upon pick-up time, so rescheduling can affect cake production and quality.
b. Booking for courier pick-ups is done by the customer. This is to prevent delays and make it easier for our riders to find the delivery area. For ALL cakes, we always recommend booking a car/multi-purpose vehicle to ensure the safety of your order.
c. Caketales will not be liable for any damages incurred after the cake has been handed off.
d. If you can only pick up your order beyond our official operating hours, we do allow late pick-ups after 4PM until 8PM as long as we are informed ahead of time and it is noted in your order form. Though we are a home-based business, this does not mean that our team is available 24/7.
e. If you are not able to pick up your cake on your scheduled date, you may pick it up the next business day; However, we charge a storage fee of P100 per day for a maximum of three (3) days, which must be paid before stored cakes can be released.
f. If you are not able to pick up your order after the 3 days, Caketales will reserve the right to dispose of your order.
